For their sixth year, Ilya and Emilia Kabakov, artists and  couple of Russian origin, offer to the public to get lost in a utopian city called The strange city. Monumenta invites each year contemporary intenational artists to cover 13 500 m² of the Grand Palais with a work specially designed for the occasion. We discover sculptures and installations that are reminiscent of the former Soviet Union, and evoke a utopian city.

This event is organized by Rmn-GP with the support of the ministry of culture and organization (Directorate General of art) in association with the Multimedia Art Museum de Moscou.
